Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Crusher (ranked 300 p4p, 204 weight class) and Patrick Van Kerckhoven (ranked 39 p4p, 28 weight class). Van Kerckhoven comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Neo Cortex - Elements (Daniel Cain Remix) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Crusher ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Patrick Van Kerckhoven! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and William Gold.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. Crusher misses the shot to the body. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Van Kerckhoven! But no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crusher misses with a wild body shot. Van Kerckhoven steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Crusher lands a slapping body shot.

Crusher drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Van Kerckhoven manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Crusher has Van Kerckhoven in his guard.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Van Kerckhoven not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Crusher keeping full guard, as Van Kerckhoven tries to pass. Crusher seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. That was a close round but I would say that Jack Crusher will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Crusher wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Crusher fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Van Kerckhoven manages to avoid it. Van Kerckhoven looks like he wants to counter punch here.
