Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Digital Jokinen (ranked 1196 p4p, 1236 weight class) and Terrance Knight (ranked 154 p4p, 159 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Digital Jokinen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Terrance Knight!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jokinen counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Knight throws a poor cross that misses
and Jokinen counters with an outside leg kick.
Jokinen tries to clinch

and Knight counters with a single leg into guard. Jokinen didn't expect that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Knight content to stall in guard here.
Jokinen looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knight is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Knight trying to control but Jokinen is working from the bottom.
Jokinen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jokinen working for a triangle but Knight defends it easily.
Knight looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Jokinen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jokinen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Knight manages to get himself to full guard.

Knight wants to hit a sweep here but Jokinen passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Knight there!

Jokinen with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Jokinen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Knight is working to get back to half guard.
Knight is squirming around, avoiding Jokinen's attempts to control the action.

Jokinen is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Knight is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Jokinen is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Knight can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Knight is in all sorts of trouble here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jokinen content just to control the position here.
Knight wants to control but Jokinen is having none of it.
Knight is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Jokinen is staying active.
Knight really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Jokinen goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Knight is on top in guard.

Knight is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Jokinen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Knight defends it easily.

Knight wants to control from the top but Jokinen keeps moving.
Knight lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Knight distracts Jokinen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Jokinen has his feet on Knight's thighs here. He's pushed Knight off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Knight screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 6:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Digital Jokinen!
Digital Jokinen seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Terrance Knight spoke after the fight, saying 'Damn... Just Damn...'.
