Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Oneil (ranked 3 p4p, 33 weight class) and Danyaal Zahedi (ranked 1 p4p, 3 weight class). Oneil comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica - Spit Out The Bone. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 21 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Oneil! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 26 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Danyaal Zahedi! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Zahedi throws a hook but Oneil avoids it easily. Zahedi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Oneil moves away. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Zahedi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Oneil tries to counter with a takedown but Zahedi is quick to defend against it. A left and a right from Zahedi both land. Nice combination.
It looks like David Oneil has been cut. Zahedi throws a hook to the side of Oneil's head but Oneil sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Oneil attempts a counter takedown but Zahedi avoids it well and moves away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oneil uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Zahedi. Zahedi throws a body kick that misses so Oneil counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zahedi keeping moving, preventing Oneil from controlling successfully. Oneil working some strikes from top position. Zahedi working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Oneil. Zahedi tries to land a sweep but no joy. Oneil pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zahedi is keeping the position for now. Zahedi controlling Oneil's posture. Oneil's corner is telling him to maintain position. Zahedi working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Oneil.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Oneil content to stall in guard here. Oneil has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Oneil throws a big elbow that misses. Oneil cracks Zahedi with a solid left hand. Zahedi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Oneil is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Oneil scoring with punches to the head and body. Oneil throws a big elbow that misses. Oneil passes Zahedi's left leg - he's now in half guard. Oneil is trying for a kimura here. Zahedi looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Oneil wins by kimura!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). David Oneil! David Oneil retains his super heavyweight title! A very excited looking David Oneil made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
