Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Dolton!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cortez connects with a jab.

Cortez gets caught flat footed, as Dolton shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Cortez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dolton's guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Cortez's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dolton not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Cortez makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Dolton is rocked!
Cortez gets to his feet and stands over Dolton, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Dolton felt that one! Cortez unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Dolton from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Don Cortez!
In his post fight interview, Don Cortez started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
The defeated Scott Dolton had this to say: 'It is a joke? Let's start it over again.'.
