Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Broady Hallows (ranked 86 p4p, 228 weight class) and Heung Min Choi (ranked 10 p4p, 24 weight class). Hallows comes to the cage accompanied by POSTALMONDCLARITY. Choi has chosen Black Eyed Bruiser as his entrance music. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 3, fighting out of Sydney, Broady Hallows!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Heung Min Choi!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hallows moves in looking to clinch but Choi pushes him off.
Choi swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Hallows throws out a powerful jab.
Choi misses with a kick to the body.
Hallows misses with a hook
and Choi counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hallows thinking.
Choi moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Choi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Hallows looks to score with a jab to the body but Choi is just out of range.
Hallows misses with a looping left.
Hallows lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Heung Min Choi has been cut.
Hallows swings for the body but Choi moves out of range.
A slapping body kick lands there for Choi.
Choi misses with a right hand
and Hallows counters with a nice uppercut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hallows doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
A jab from Choi misses.
Hallows misses with a wild body shot.
Hallows keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Choi throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hallows tries to clinch up but Choi circles away and keeps his distance.
Hallows throws a sloppy head kick
and Choi counters with a good, hard body kick but Hallows shrugs it off.
A chopping leg kick lands by Choi.
Hallows chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Choi can pounce on him.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hallows ducks under a wild hook from Choi.
Hallows is looking to counter punch.
Choi's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hallows under the eye.
Hallows connects with a crisp jab.
Broady Hallows seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hallows sizes up Choi with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Hallows has been working on his boxing with his coaches at KO MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Nice combo by Hallows! Oh, that's hurt him - Choi falls to the canvas and Hallows follows him into side control.
Choi is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hallows advances to full mount.
Choi is still in real trouble! Can Hallows finish him?
Hallows controlling the position easily from mount.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Hallows! Choi is hurt baaadly! Hallows is firing away with more strikes - Choi is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
