Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Surkho Dratchev (ranked 410 p4p, 430 weight class) and Rodrigo Duterte (ranked 57 p4p, 59 weight class). Dratchev comes into the arena with Schweine by Glukoza Nostra blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duterte pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Duterte gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Dratchev.
It looks like Rodrigo Duterte has been cut.
Duterte throws a body shot but no joy.
Duterte takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Dratchev has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Rough House in the buildup to the fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Duterte. Dratchev does a little dance to reset his feet.

Dratchev throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Duterte has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Duterte uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dratchev.
Dratchev knocks Duterte to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dratchev wants to control but Duterte is keeping him busy.

Dratchev decides to stand up, so the ref orders Duterte to his feet.
Dratchev uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Duterte.

That has opened up Rodrigo Duterte's cut even more.

Dratchev throws a right hand that Duterte ducks under and follows up with a left that Duterte also avoids with ease.
Rodrigo Duterte is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dratchev shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Duterte manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Some wild striking there from Dratchev.
Duterte is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Dratchev lands a nice shot that snaps Duterte's head back.
Dratchev throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Duterte sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Duterte lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Horrible takedown attempt by Dratchev or perhaps it was just good defense by Duterte, which made it look bad.
Duterte now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Duterte cracks Dratchev with an open hand slap.
Dratchev closes the distance and clinches up with Duterte, looking for a takedown. Dratchev pushes Duterte against the cage but Duterte circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Duterte is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Surkho Dratchev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Duterte checks the leg kick.
Dratchev throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Duterte tries a head kick but it misses.
Duterte misses with the combination.

Dratchev throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Dratchev looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Dratchev is looking to take a break and control but Duterte is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Duterte looking for submissions off his back.
Duterte is looking to get back to is feet but Dratchev passes into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dratchev wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Duterte, who protects the arm well.
Dratchev has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Surkho Dratchev dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Duterte misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Duterte takes a swing at Dratchev's ribcage but misses.
Dratchev is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Duterte can do to turn this around?
Dratchev lands a nice leg kick that just misses Duterte's sensitive parts.
Duterte scores with the left hand. Dratchev knows he should have avoided that one.
Dratchev keeps Duterte at a distance using the push kick.
Dratchev changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Duterte looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Dratchev is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Duterte is trying to escape and Dratchev transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Duterte is forced to tap! Nice work there by Dratchev! Very nice indeed!

An out of breath Surkho Dratchev thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
