Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 25 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Lalime!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Takehiko Hidaka!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lalime takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Lalime throws a good cross that connects.
Hidaka misses with a hook. Lalime ducked under it nicely.
Hidaka closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Hidaka stuns Lalime with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Good standup being displayed there by Hidaka as he connects with a hook.
Lalime moves in looking to clinch but Hidaka pushes him off.
Hidaka takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Lalime has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lalime has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Hidaka jumps guard but Lalime stands there with Hidaka around his waist. Hidaka gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Hidaka is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lalime to keep the fight standing.

Hidaka has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lalime is working away from the top position though.

Hidaka is looking for a sweep. Lalime is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lalime wants to free his trapped foot but Hidaka is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Hidaka tries to roll over but Lalime keeps him under control.

Lalime is trying to control the action in half guard but Hidaka is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

and Lalime counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hidaka gets through Lalime's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Takehiko Hidaka will probably get the nod.

Lalime moves in looking to clinch but Hidaka pushes him off.
Hidaka tries a quick counter leg kick but Lalime is wise to it.
Hidaka goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Lalime swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
It seemed like Hidaka was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Hidaka cracks Lalime with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Hidaka has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Lalime to stand back up!

Lalime is rocked!

It looks like Anthony Lalime has been cut.
Lalime throws a good cross that connects.
Oh Lalime is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Takehiko Hidaka seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Hidaka throws a half hearted mid kick.
Lalime seems to have got his legs back now.
Lalime is looking to clinch but Hidaka is avoiding it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lalime closes the distance but Hidaka moves to the side
and Hidaka counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Hidaka throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lalime.
Lalime wants to clinch.

Lalime's corner calls for a 1-2. Lalime obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Hidaka steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lalime.

Hidaka tries a quick counter leg kick but Lalime is wise to it.
Hidaka throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Lalime wants to clinch up but Hidaka keeps it at a distance.

Lalime connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hidaka. Hidaka circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
No joy there for Lalime, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Lalime throws a punch but it's blocked by Hidaka.

Oooooh!!! Hidaka has knocked Lalime down with a huge combo! Hidaka steps away and waves a wobbly Lalime back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lalime is trying to maintain a safe position but Hidaka gets an underhook and turns Lalime into the cage.

Hidaka throws a big counter head kick but Lalime avoids it with no problem.

Lalime moves to clinch but Hidaka breaks away
and Hidaka counters with a big left hand that crumples Lalime! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
