Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lasse Savisto (ranked 391 p4p, 679 weight class) and Olyksandr Chai (ranked 56 p4p, 92 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Olyksandr Chai enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lasse Savisto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Olyksandr Chai! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chai keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Savisto tries to clinch but Chai is having none of it. Savisto shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Chai counters with a lovely shot to the body. We've been hearing reports that Savisto has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Olyksandr Chai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chai will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Savisto takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Chai digs a good body shot into Savisto's ribs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chai lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Chai throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Savisto seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Chai jabs at Savisto's body.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Chai lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Chai can't find room to land a body shot as Savisto controls the action.
Chai throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Savistos head. Savisto misses with a punch to the body.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Chai has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Savisto tries a knee to the head but Chai blocks it.
Chai breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice shot by Chai. The fighters circling - Chai throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Savisto was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Savisto misses with a takedown attempt - Chai sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. A big left from Chai misses. Savisto gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Chai.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Chai misses with a hook. Savisto ducked under it nicely. Savisto swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Savisto digs a good hook to Chai's body.
Olyksandr Chai is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Chai tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Savisto was well out of range. Poor timing from Chai. Savisto misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lasse Savisto. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chai ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chai throws a series of punches but Savisto moves out of range. Chai avoids a punch combination nicely.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Chai throws a shot from downtown. Savisto moves away and avoids it. Chai jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Savisto will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Chai blocks a jab. Chai scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Savisto doesn't seem bothered though.
Savisto rushes Chai and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Savisto swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Chai breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Savisto shoots and misses and Chai counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Savisto looks to land a right hand but Chai moved out of range.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Chai swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Savisto seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Chai circles away from the clinch attempt.
Chai throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Savisto tumbling to the canvas!
 Savisto is rocked!
 It looks like Lasse Savisto has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Savisto keeping full guard, as Chai tries to pass.
Savisto has his foot on Chai's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chai works his way back into a safe position though. Chai controls from within his opponent's guard. Chai pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Savisto is keeping the position for now. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Savisto wants to hit a sweep here but Chai passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Savisto there! Chai wants to take Savisto's back but he can't do it this time. Chai controlling the position easily from mount. Savisto is trying to reverse the position but instead Chai has taken his back - oops! Well, with Chai on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Savisto is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
 That's one minute gone in the round. Chai has the hooks in. Savisto is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chai is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Savisto defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Savisto can't escape the position.
Savisto turns into Chai and is now in his guard.
Chai is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Savisto is looking for a sweep. Chai is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Chai is pressing down on Savisto's thigh, looking to free his foot. Savisto is holding on for now. Chai frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Savisto is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Savisto is desperately trying to improve his position but Chai has a good base and remains in mount. Chai tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Savisto is looking to get to half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Chai sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Savisto tries to hold on but Chai pushes him away. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Savisto closes the distance and clinches up with Chai, looking for a takedown. Savisto pushes Chai against the cage but Chai circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Oh Savisto is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Chai passes Savisto's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Savisto wants to control the action here but instead Chai manages to pass to full mount! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Chai controlling the position easily from mount. Savisto is trying to escape the mount but Chai keeps good control and instead manages to take Savisto's back.
Savisto seems to have got his legs back now. Savisto is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Chai keeps control of the position as Savisto tries to break free.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Savisto is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Chai gets his way!
Chai has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. What can Savisto do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Olyksandr Chai is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Chai has good solid back control here.
