Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Gozo Shioda (ranked 4822 p4p, 4613 weight class) and Sub Zero (ranked 387 p4p, 372 weight class). Shioda comes into the arena with Monster Eats Manhattan - Salvation blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sub Zero!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shioda connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Shioda misses with a wild body shot.
Shioda misses with an uppercut
and Zero cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Zero connects with a crisp jab.
Shioda throws a hook but Zero avoids it easily.
Zero lands a jab.
Shioda throws an overhand right that lands on Zero's shoulder, as Zero tries to avoid the shot.
Zero has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Zero slips a jab from Shioda.
Shioda lands an overhand right.
It looks like Sub Zero has been cut.
Shioda throws a jab when Zero was well out of range.
Zero walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zero on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Zero is rocked!
Zero throws a body shot but no joy.
Shioda with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Zero thows a left - swing and a miss!
Zero connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Shioda keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Zero is still on wobbly legs! Can Shioda finish him?
Shioda throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Zero stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Shioda ducks under a wild hook from Zero.
Zero walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! Zero is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Gozo Shioda!
An out of breath Gozo Shioda thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
