Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Light Guy (ranked 23500 p4p, 23371 weight class) and Light Mann (ranked 291 p4p, 305 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy thows a body kick. Mann tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Mann scores with a jab. Guy acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Guy throws a leg kick which misses Mann's front leg but catches the back leg as Mann tries to avoid it.
Mann throws out a loose jab but Guy uses good head movement to avoid it.
Guy wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Guy throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mann on the side of the head.
Guy swings for the body but Mann moves out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mann! But no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Light Guy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Guy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mann is fending him off so far but Guy persists. Nope, Mann circles away and we're back to standing.

Mann might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Light Mann seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Guy shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mann but Mann pushes him off and we're back to square one.
