Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nakachi Tadageru (ranked 209 p4p, 185 weight class) and Kwasi Kwong (ranked 23 p4p, 20 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nakachi Tadageru!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kwasi Kwong!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kwong misses with a looping left.
Tadageru wants to clinch
and Kwong counters with a left to the body.
Tadageru misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kwong.
Nice takedown defense from Kwong. No joy for Tadageru on that attempt.
Kwong throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kwong misses with an uppercut. Tadageru saw that one coming.
Tadageru appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Tadageru tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kwong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tadageru somewhat.

Tadageru got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kwong has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tadageru has managed to get both his arms back between Kwong's legs - danger averted.
Kwong has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Kwong controls Tadageru momentarily but Tadageru frees himself.

Tadageru makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Tadageru has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kwong has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Tadageru sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kwong's guard.
Tadageru thows a huge punch but Kwong dodges it nicely.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Tadageru closes the distance but Kwong moves to the side
and Kwong counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

A little jabbing left from Kwong on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Tadageru tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kwong paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kwong throws a half hearted mid kick.
Tadageru looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kwasi Kwong seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Tadageru throws a poor cross that misses
and Kwong counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Tadageru tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kwong swivels and escapes.
Nice defenses there by Kwong.
A nice side step and Kwong releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Tadageru wants to clinch up but Kwong keeps it at a distance.
Kwong let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Tadageru tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Kwong cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Kwong counters with a nice right hand that sends Tadageru toppling to the canvas! Tadageru scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Kwong finish him?!

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kwasi Kwong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Tadageru drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Nakachi Tadageru overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Tadageru looks up at the clock and then as Kwong takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Tadageru smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kwong tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Tadageru's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Tadageru has clasped his hands together around Kwong's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Tadageru slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Kwasi Kwong is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Kwong takes a swing at Tadageru's ribcage but misses.
Tadageru tries to counter with a takedown but Kwong is quick to defend against it.

Tadageru has his takedown stuffed
and Kwong makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nakachi Tadageru.
I think Tadageru has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
