The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Ekuoba misses.
Fries swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Fries ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A cross from Ekuoba lands.
Fries throws a lazy uppercut
and Ekuoba counters with a nice right hand that sends Fries toppling to the canvas! Fries scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Ekuoba finish him?!
Fries is rocked!
It looks like Victor Fries has been cut.
Fries misses with a lunging right hand
and Ekuoba rattles Fries with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Fries tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Ekuoba dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Fries stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Essien Ekuoba!
