Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 20 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Lyman Hicks!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dayton takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Hicks fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dayton manages to avoid it.
Dayton changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Hicks looks to score with a jab to the body but Dayton is just out of range.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dayton jumps guard but Hicks stands there with Dayton around his waist. Dayton gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hicks creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Dayton tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hicks smiles and moves away.

Hicks is pressed up against the cage. Dayton has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hicks down to the mat. Hicks avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Hicks throws a series of strikes that have Dayton backpedaling.
Dayton 's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hicks connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dayton scrambles back to his feet.

and Dayton counters with a single leg into guard. Hicks didn't expect that.

Dayton has gone for a leg lock! Hicks slips out almost immediately though and dives into Dayton 's guard.
