Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Sidorov (ranked 861 p4p, 833 weight class) and Leg Day (ranked 110 p4p, 106 weight class). Sidorov kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sidorov's Heart. Ivan Sidorov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Leg Day's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 27 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Sidorov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Leg Day! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sidorov walks forward, straight into a front kick from Day. Day throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Day throws a leg kick but Sidorov sees it coming and checks it nicely. A lazy body kick from Day
and Sidorov counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Sidorov missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Sidorov looks to land a strike but Day avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Day told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Sidorov throwing strikes but missing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Day keeping moving, preventing Sidorov from controlling successfully. Sidorov throws a big right hand that misses.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Sidorov connects with a couple of short punches. Day is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Sidorov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Sidorov controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Day wants to get back to his feet but Sidorov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Day has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Sidorov is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Sidorov tries to pull guard but Day holds him up against the cage and eventually Sidorov drops back down to his feet.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Sidorov is looking to regain half guard here but Day keeps moving and retains side control. Sidorov is trying to control Day's posture but Day avoids it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Day decides to stand back up. Day delivers a nice body kick. Day throws a wild body kick that Sidorov sees coming a mile off.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Day moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Day throws out a leg kick but Sidorov moves out of range and Day only half commits. Sidorov changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Leg Day is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Day. Sidorov drops down looking for a counter takedown but Day sprawls and moves away. Day misses with a head kick.

Day throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Sidorov counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Sidorov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Sidorov looks to land a strike but Day avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Sidorov in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Sidorov missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Sidorov postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Day wants to get back to his feet but Sidorov is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Sidorov trying to move into half guard but instead Day has managed to sweep!

Day misses with a kick to the body
so Sidorov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Sidorov trying to control the position from guard on top but Day is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sidorov is looking to work some ground and pound but Day has wrist control. Sidorov works over Day with some ground and pound from guard. We've been hearing that Sidorov has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Sidorov throwing strikes from guard but Day blocks nicely. Sidorov wants to control from the top but Day keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Day preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Sidorov postures up in Day's guard and throws a big left but Day blocks it.

Day keeping moving, preventing Sidorov from controlling successfully. Sidorov with a nice head shot there. Sidorov trying to control the position from guard on top but Day is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sidorov with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Sidorov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Day wants to get back to his feet but Sidorov is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Sidorov throws an elbow that misses. Day uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sidorov's guard. Nice move by Day!

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Sidorov pulls Day in to control the position. Sidorov is looking to sweep but instead, Day has passed into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Day stands up and beckons Sidorov to join him on the feet. Sidorov checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Sidorov feinted with a counter takedown. Day throws a lazy body kick
and Sidorov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Day's guard.
Day manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Day tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Day lands a good knee to the midsection. Sidorov won't want to take too many of those. Sidorov is trying to pull guard but Day has him pressed against the cage. Sidorov fails to pull guard.
Sidorov is working for takedown but Day is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Sidorov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sidorov drops down looking for an ankle pick but Day pulls his leg out and moves away.
Day moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Day throws a sloppy head kick

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Day regains half guard, as Sidorov was trying to land strikes. Sidorov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Day keeps working.
Day kicks Sidorov off and gets back to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Day tries to clinch but Sidorov moves out of range. Sidorov drops down looking for a counter takedown but Day sprawls and moves away. A head kick misses from Day. Day throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Sidorov counters with a nice double leg into guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Leg Day will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Sidorov lands a couple of decent looking shots. Day preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Sidorov missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Sidorov throws a strike but Day rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
