Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Otto McBean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hugo Mesquita!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Mesquita enables McBean to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mesquita manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mesquita is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McBean is aware though and is defending well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mesquita lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Mesquita thows an elbow strike that misses. McBean gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Mesquita doesn't seem too bothered but McBean quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Mesquita is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Mesquita really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.
