Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Hightower (ranked 186 p4p, 346 weight class) and Olyksandr Chai (ranked 29 p4p, 51 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hightower might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Power. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 47 - 16 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jason Hightower!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Olyksandr Chai!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chai throws a lazy uppercut
and Hightower counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Olyksandr Chai has been cut.
Hightower jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A big left from Hightower misses.
Hightower throws a right hand that misses
and Chai connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hightower fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Hightower has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Blacktalians MMA in the buildup to the fight.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Chai has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Hightower throws an overhand right that lands on Chai's shoulder, as Chai tries to avoid the shot.

Hightower throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chai steps into range and cracks Hightower with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Hightower flops backwards and Chai dives into his guard looking to finish!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hightower wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hightower is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Chai throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hightower stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Olyksandr Chai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Chai stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hightower swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Chai is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Let's hope that Chai has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hightower ducks straight into an uppercut from Chai and tumbles to the canvas! It�s a flash knockdown though - Hightower manages to regain guard straight away.

Olyksandr Chai comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Chai has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
