Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Panfilo Acerbi (ranked 747 p4p, 586 weight class) and Ispa Perkele (ranked 75 p4p, 56 weight class). Acerbi comes into the arena with Boom Boom Boom Boom - Venga Boys blaring out of the sound system. Ispa Perkele acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkele takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Perkele avoids the head kick by Acerbi.
Perkele is looking to chop away at Acerbi's legs.
Acerbi changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Acerbi scores with a nice strike.
Acerbi has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Perkele takes a jab right on the kisser.
Perkele moves away from the strike by Acerbi.
Perkele looks to land a right hand but Acerbi moved out of range.

I wouldn't like to be where Perkele is right now.
Acerbi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Acerbi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Acerbi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Perkele is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Perkele tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Acerbi wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Acerbi is trying to get an arm triangle but Perkele is defending well.
Acerbi has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Perkele is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Acerbi yanks on the arm and Perkele is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Acerbi.
