Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Caceres (ranked 2377 p4p, 2417 weight class) and Paul Nichols (ranked 296 p4p, 301 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rodrigo Caceres! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Nichols! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nichols takes a swing at Caceres's ribcage but misses. Nichols scores with the left hand. Caceres knows he should have avoided that one. Nichols swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Nichols.
Caceres bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Nichols prevents Caceres from improving position. Caceres is working hard here to advance position.
Caceres tries for a kimura but Nichols is defending well.
Caceres is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nichols knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Caceres looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Nichols prevents Caceres from moving into mount. Caceres advances to full mount. Nichols can't escape the position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Caceres fails to move to back control. Nichols is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Caceres has taken his back.
Nichols preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Caceres. Nichols really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Caceres. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Caceres controlling from the back.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Nichols trying to control but not successfully. Nichols is trying to get back to his feet but Caceres has full control of the position and if anything, Nichols has just worked his way into a worse spot. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nichols rolls, trying to escape but Caceres keeps control of the position.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Nichols wants to get back to his feet.
Nichols is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nichols goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Caceres dodges the punch combination from Nichols.
Nichols gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Rodrigo Caceres will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Caceres dives in and grabs Nichols's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nichols pushes down on Caceres's head and hops out. Caceres has a takedown stuffed. Caceres takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Caceres is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Nichols throws the left hand but Caceres avoids the punch easily. Nichols thuds his right hand into Caceres's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Caceres ducks right into an uppercut from Nichols. Nichols wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Horrible takedown attempt by Caceres or perhaps it was just good defense by Nichols, which made it look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodrigo Caceres. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Caceres shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Nichols manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Nichols wriggles free and stands up. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Caceres tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nichols sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Caceres somewhat.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Nichols cracks Caceres with a right hand to the side of the head. Nichols throws a right and a left that Caceres avoids nicely. Nichols connects with a good right hand that stumbles Caceres. Caceres circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Nichols lands a jab. Caceres shoots in looking for a takedown but Nichols manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Caceres's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Nichols throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Caceres.
Caceres shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Caceres showed some decent athleticism there. Caceres trying to mount his opponent but Nichols defends it. Caceres is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Nichols!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nichols is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Nichols has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Caceres jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Nichols manages to avoid the submission attempt. Nichols stops Caceres from passing to mount. Nichols is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Nichols is trying to control Caceres's posture but Caceres avoids it.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Caceres tries to move into full mount but can't pass Nichols's legs. Rodrigo Caceres overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Caceres is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Nichols has escaped the position, nice work there.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Caceres is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nichols is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Nichols wants to control but Caceres postures up.
Caceres in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Nichols is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
