Carter comes to the cage accompanied by “Shipping up to Boston” Dropkick Murphy’s. Ian Carter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Tawake throws a hook but Carter blocks it.
Carter has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Ironbound MMA in the buildup to the fight.

and Carter counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Carter connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tawake momentarily.

and Carter counters with a crisp right hand that drops Tawake! Carter lets Tawake back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Tawake swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Tawake seems to have recovered his senses.
Tawake throws a hook but Carter blocks it.

Tawake takes a swing at Carter's ribcage but misses.
Carter went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Isoa Tawake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carter drops Tawake with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Tawake looks back up at him and smiles so Carter waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tawake jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Tawake gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Carter counters with a huge right that knocks Tawake out cold! Carter is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ian Carter!

A very excited looking Ian Carter made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
