Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jay Reepo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yaroslav Rurik!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rurik gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Rurik defending well as Reepo loads up on a big left hand.
Rurik looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Reepo ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Reepo slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

The fighters circling - Reepo throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rurik slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Reepo throws his legs up looking for a submission but Rurik uses it to pass to side control.

Reepo is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rurik off and has taken his back!
Rurik rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Reepo stalling away here and it's allowed Rurik to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Reepo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rurik swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Reepo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rurik is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Reepo, into his guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Rurik controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Reepo working for a triangle but Rurik defends it easily.
Rurik stays in close to Reepo's body and controls the position.
Reepo throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rurik escapes and throws Reepo's legs to the side, diving into side control!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jay Reepo will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Reepo throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Reepo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Reepo tries to clinch up but Rurik circles away and keeps his distance.
Rurik takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Nice body punch from Reepo.
Rurik keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Reepo.
Reepo attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Rurik checks a leg kick.
Good shot there by Reepo.
Rurik takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Reepo's corner calls for a 1-2. Reepo obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Reepo circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Rurik tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Reepo wins by KO!
