Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Boris Piekny (ranked 1956 p4p, 1001 weight class) and Viktor Mikidropov (ranked 232 p4p, 129 weight class). Mikidropov comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Danger kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Boris Piekny!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Viktor Mikidropov!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piekny shoots in looking for a takedown but Mikidropov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Piekny's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Piekny tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mikidropov swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Piekny throws a series of punches but Mikidropov moves out of range.
Piekny gets caught flat footed, as Mikidropov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Mikidropov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mikidropov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Piekny wants to get back to his feet but Mikidropov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Mikidropov drops back looking for a leg! Piekny is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Piekny manages to kick Mikidropov off! Mikidropov jumps back into Piekny's guard.
Piekny seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Piekny wants to stand up but Mikidropov is controlling him.
Piekny can't keep his opponent in guard - Mikidropov advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Mikidropov is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Piekny manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Mikidropov keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Mikidropov jumps guard and drags Piekny to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Piekny stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mikidropov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mikidropov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Piekny defends well.

Piekny is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Piekny thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Mikidropov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Piekny doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Mikidropov is tightening it up a little... Piekny has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Piekny reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Piekny taps out! Nice BJJ there by Mikidropov!
