Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Axton Burgess (ranked 448 p4p, 828 weight class) and Junior Barbosa (ranked 55 p4p, 107 weight class). Burgess comes to the cage accompanied by I Can Only Count to Four. Junior Barbosa told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Axton Burgess!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Junior Barbosa!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurstr�m, Roosa J�rvil�inen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbosa misses with a lunging right hand
and Burgess counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Barbosa cracks Burgess with an open hand slap.
Burgess takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Burgess misses with an uppercut. Barbosa saw that one coming.
A little jabbing left from Barbosa on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Barbosa swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Burgess counters with a body kick.
Barbosa throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Burgess.
It looks like Axton Burgess has been cut.
Barbosa misses with a jab to the body
and Burgess counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Junior Barbosa has been cut.
Burgess scores with a kick to the body.
Barbosa looks winded!
Burgess works Barbosa's body with a nice hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Burgess scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Burgess lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Barbosa misses with an uppercut
and Burgess counters with a nice right hand that sends Barbosa toppling to the canvas! Barbosa scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Burgess finish him?!
Barbosa is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
A head kick by Burgess - that's a beauty! Barbosa is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Burgess can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Axton Burgess!
