Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tevin Shay!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Deanthony Pederson!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shay scores with a jab to the head.
Shay with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Pederson to score with a decent uppercut.
Shay doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Pederson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Shay manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Shay is looking to cinch up a triangle. Pederson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Shay's body to avoid the submission. Shay has instead reached around Pederson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Shay arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Tevin Shay!
