Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chaos Kemppainen (ranked 84 p4p, 166 weight class) and Jack Crusher (ranked 16 p4p, 26 weight class). Jack Crusher told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chaos Kemppainen! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Crusher ! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jorge Garcia and Chad Campbell.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crusher slips under a jab. Crusher with the counter takedown but Kemppainen avoids it easily. Kemppainen misses with a low kick. Kemppainen misses with a leg kick
and Crusher counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kemppainen!
Crusher looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Crusher cracks Kemppainen with an elbow. That is naaassty. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Crusher is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kemppainen has escaped the position, nice work there. Crusher throws a strike aimed at the side of Kemppainen's head but Kemppainen avoids it well.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Crusher is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kemppainen is just riding it out for now. Crusher eventually gives up the hold. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Crusher . He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Kemppainen trying to control here.
Crusher throws a strike but Kemppainen avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Crusher throws an elbow that misses. Kemppainen uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Crusher 's guard. Nice move by Kemppainen!
 Kemppainen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Crusher working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kemppainen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kemppainen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Crusher is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Crusher looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Crusher has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Crusher is trying to control the position but Kemppainen postures up. Kemppainen won't allow Crusher to sweep him here.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kemppainen stays in close to Crusher 's body and controls the position. Crusher looking for a sweep. Not yet Crusher , not yet. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chaos Kemppainen will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Chaos Kemppainen's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Kemppainen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Crusher manages to avoid it. Kemppainen tries to close the distance and clinch but Crusher swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kemppainen throws a right hand that misses
and Crusher counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kemppainen won't be happy with that. Kemppainen is not content to let Crusher control the position. Crusher creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kemppainen is trying to control Crusher 's posture but Crusher avoids it. Crusher misses with the ground and pound.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kemppainen is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Crusher is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Crusher has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kemppainen blocking the ground and pound. Crusher unloading with bombs! Crusher wants to control from the top but Kemppainen keeps moving. Crusher throws a big right hand that misses. Crusher working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Kemppainen trying to keep a closed guard but Crusher is proving a slippery customer.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kemppainen throws a body shot but no joy. Kemppainen looks to throw the jab but Crusher is out of range. Kemppainen is looking to clinch but Crusher is avoiding it.

Kemppainen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Crusher moves away. Crusher appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Chaos Kemppainen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kemppainen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Kemppainen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kemppainen forces Crusher back against the cage and clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kemppainen lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Crusher or not.
Crusher has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kemppainen is trying to keep an underhook but Crusher manages to get the takedown into half guard. Kemppainen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Crusher sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kemppainen defending well though.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Crusher thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kemppainen's head. Crusher throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Kemppainen to regain full guard. Crusher loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kemppainen keeping full guard, as Crusher tries to pass. Kemppainen keeping moving, preventing Crusher from controlling successfully. Kemppainen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Crusher trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Crusher controls from within his opponent's guard.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Crusher moves out of range of the leg kick from Kemppainen. Crusher steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Kemppainen. A solid leg kick lands there for Kemppainen.
Kemppainen darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Crusher bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A low kick from Kemppainen is predictable there
and Crusher counters with a nice double leg into guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Crusher trying to move into half guard but instead Kemppainen has managed to sweep!

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chaos Kemppainen. I think Crusher has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The fight is ruled a majority draw! Chaos Kemppainen retains his title. It's always disappointing when a championship fight ends as a draw but that's what happens when you leave the fight in the judges hands!
