Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 40 - 26 - 1, fighting out of London, David Choke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gwynn Evans!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans cracks Choke with a right hand to the side of the head.
Choke ducks under a wild hook from Evans.
Choke takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Choke avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Choke seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Gwynn Evans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Choke walks into a left hand.
Evans throws a lazy uppercut

and Choke counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Evans keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Evans is trying to control but can't.

Choke is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Evans sees it coming and defends easily.

That was a close round but I would say that David Choke will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

As Evans backs away, Choke returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Choke fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Choke counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Evans is pulling down on Choke's head. It's preventing any offense from Choke, at least for the moment.

Gwynn Evans showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
