Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darden Kane (ranked 3540 p4p, 3354 weight class) and Nigel Greer (ranked 347 p4p, 332 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darden Kane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nigel Greer! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Greer missing with a left hand there. Kane was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Kane uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Greer.
Kane darts in and clinches Greer up against the cage. Kane drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Greer lands a hook that snaps the head of Kane backwards. Kane is working for takedown but Greer is calmly controlling the position for now. Kane has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Greer is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darden Kane. That's going to take a lot out of him. Greer has a couple of punches blocked by Kane.
Greer tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Greer has a couple of punches blocked by Kane.
Kane gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Greer wants to control the action here but instead Kane manages to pass to full mount! Kane controlling from the full mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kane's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Greer tries to reverse the position but Kane maintains control. Greer is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Greer might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kane haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Kane controlling the pace for now.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Greer wants to hold on but Kane pushes him away. Greer is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kane avoids the attempt from Greer to control.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kane controlling the position easily from mount. Greer tries to hold on but Kane pushes him away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Darden Kane dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kane looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Kane slows the pace down in half guard. We've been informed that Greer has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Greer trying to control from the bottom.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Greer is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Kane is staying active. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Greer misses with a straight right. Greer throws out a loose jab but Kane uses good head movement to avoid it. Kane ducks under a wild hook from Greer.
Kane has closed the distance and engaged Greer in a clinch.
Kane has hold of one of Greer's legs. Greer is fighting the takedown attempt but Kane gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Kane controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Greer is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kane has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Kane is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kane has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Greer pulls Kane in close to prevent any damage. Kane is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Greer can do to turn this around?
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Greer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kane.
Greer gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kane to score an easy takedown into full guard. Greer wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Kane is now in half guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Kane is figuring out what he wants to do next. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Greer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kane is working away from the top position though. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Darden Kane dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Kane moves into range and clinches up with Greer. Nigel Greer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kane has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Greer regains guard immediately. Kane wants to pass the guard but Greer is keeping the position. Greer controls Kane momentarily but Kane frees himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kane not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
 That's one minute gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Further stalling from Kane.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Greer scores with a shot to the body.
Kane rushes Greer and presses him up against the cage. Greer has a couple of punches blocked by Kane.
Greer stops a takedown attempt from Kane.
Kane tries for a takedown but Greer manages to get underhooks.
Greer misses with the head strike.
Kane is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Greer pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darden Kane. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kane is looking to take this one to the mat. Greer working aggressively here.
Greer is defending well against a takedown attempt. Kane changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Greer fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kane gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Greer lands with a nice combination. Kane backs away looking to recover.
 Kane is rocked! Kane displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Greer throws out the jab. Oh Kane is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kane darts in and clinches Greer up against the cage. Kane tries to score a body lock takedown but Greer shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Kane seems to have got his legs back now.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane is working for takedown but Greer is calmly controlling the position for now.
Kane turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kane manages to end up in side control. Kane controls the position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Greer tries to improve position but can't. Greer is still trying to improve position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kane taking a breather here.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Darden Kane. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kane, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
