Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Schneider (ranked 705 p4p, 578 weight class) and Leg Day (ranked 93 p4p, 76 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Schneider! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 21 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Leg Day! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schneider tries to clinch up. Day wants to counter with a clinch but Schneider pushes him away. Schneider takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Schneider comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Day throws a head kick that misses. Schneider half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Schneider throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Day stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Day ducks under a wild hook from Schneider. Day tries a quick counter leg kick but Schneider is wise to it. Schneider checks a low kick from Day. Good exchange - Schneider coming out on top. Schneider cracks a nice hook into Day's ribs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Day connects with a leg kick. Schneider lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice defenses there by Day. Kyle Schneider seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Schneider lands with a good body shot.

Schneider gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Day regains guard.
Day keeping moving, preventing Schneider from controlling successfully. Day avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Schneider looking to sit in guard and control but Day gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
 The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Schneider is looking to sweep but instead, Day has passed into half guard.

Schneider escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Day gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Schneider controlling the position. Day is looking to stand up but Schneider won't let him. Schneider wants to sweep but no luck. Day told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Day must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Schneider is striking but Day is not phased and passes to half guard.

Schneider is looking to get back to full guard here but Day has managed to pass to side control instead. Schneider is looking to regain half guard here but Day keeps moving and retains side control.  That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Schneider is trying to control but can't.

 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Schneider on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Day takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Schneider scores with a body shot.
Day takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Day throws a low kick, looking for Schneider's leg but Schneider calmly moves out of range. Schneider swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Schneider tries to counter with a takedown but Day is quick to defend against it. Day gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Schneider. Day drops his hands momentarily and Schneider takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Good standup being displayed there by Schneider as he connects with a hook. Schneider is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Day can do to turn this around? Day throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Schneider throws out a loose jab but Day uses good head movement to avoid it. Day tries a head kick but it misses.

Day flicks out a counter leg kick but Schneider steps away. Day keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Day tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Schneider avoids it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Day is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Schneider. Day tries to land a knee to the head but Schneider blocks with his arms.

I was talking to Schneider's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Day tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Schneider avoids it. Schneider throws a punch but it's blocked by Day. Day blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Schneider dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Schneider lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Day looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Schneider shoots for a takedown but Day saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nice uppercut there from Schneider. Day throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Day lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kyle Schneider. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Schneider, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
