Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Chester (ranked 669 p4p, 2025 weight class) and Toti Rotiz (ranked 85 p4p, 253 weight class). Rotiz has chosen Southtown as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Chester! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Toti Rotiz! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Bruno Lombardi and John Roberts.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from Chester. A telegraphed right hand from Chester misses the target. Chester throws a half hearted mid kick. Chester connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. A good leg kick by Chester. Chester misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rotiz.
Chester scores with a jab to the jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fight stays on the outside here - Rotiz looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Chester pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Chester connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Rotiz takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
 It looks like Toti Rotiz has been cut. Rotiz takes a shot right to the bread basket. Chester rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rotiz connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Chester darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Chester scores with a jab to the body. Chester dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rotiz. That did some damage! Chester connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Rotiz shoots in for a takedown but Chester shows good takedown defense. Chester misses with a low kick as Rotiz jumps back.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rotiz looks for a takedown but Chester sprawls well. Chester is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Chester misses with an uppercut. Rotiz saw that one coming. Rotiz moves out of range as Chester strikes. Rotiz closes the distance and clinches up with Chester, looking for a takedown. Rotiz pushes Chester against the cage but Chester circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Mike Chester has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Toti Rotiz. Chester misses with a body shot.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. A left lands for Chester. Chester wants to slow Rotiz down by chopping away at his legs. Rotiz feints the counter takedown. Chester takes a swing at Rotiz's ribcage but misses. Chester attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. As Chester backs off Rotiz throws a huge counter combo but Chester manages to avoid it all. Rotiz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chester's waist but Chester gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rotiz off to one side. Chester with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Chester throws a sloppy head kick and Rotiz moves out of range easily. Rotiz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Chester.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A nice leg kick lands there from Chester.
Rotiz feints and as Chester raises his hands in defense, Rotiz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Chester keeping moving, preventing Rotiz from controlling successfully. Rotiz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chester works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Rotiz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rotiz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Rotiz postures up in Chester's guard and throws a big left but Chester blocks it. Chester working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rotiz. Rotiz is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Chester not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Chester dominated that round. The cut man is working on Toti Rotiz's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Rotiz with the counter takedown but Chester avoids it easily. Rotiz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Chester pinned against the cage. Chester gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Chester stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Chester wants it to stay on the feet. Chester appears to be looking for a big counter. Chester will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Rotiz is trying hard to land a takedown here. Chester sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Chester throws a nice looking combination but Rotiz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Rotiz tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. A bone on bone clash there as Rotiz blocks the leg kick.
Rotiz tries to counter with a clinch but Chester shakes him off and moves away. Rotiz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Chester defends it nicely. Chester throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Chester slaps away a takedown attempt from Rotiz, before circling back to the center of the mat. Rotiz checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. And Rotiz tries to counter it with a takedown but Chester pushes his down on his head and steps out. Chester throws a nice outside leg kick. Rotiz takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Chester throws a jab but it's blocked by Rotiz. Chester lands a nice shot that snaps Rotiz's head back.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Chester scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Mike Chester is winning the standup battle so far. Chester clobbers Rotiz with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. A leg kick checked by Rotiz. Rotiz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Rotiz throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Chester counters with a body kick that stops Rotiz in his tracks momentarily. Chester missing with a left hand there. Rotiz was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Rotiz is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Chester forces Rotiz back against the cage and clinches. Chester prevents a takedown attempt there.

Rotiz is breathing heavily. Chester has Rotiz pressed against the cage, preventing Rotiz from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Chester lands an uppercut. Nice body punch from Chester - that landed with a thud.
Rotiz tries to score a body lock takedown but Chester shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Chester scores with a hook to the body. Chester lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chester lands a right hand. Chester lands with a short shot to the head. Rotiz tries for a takedown but Chester manages to get underhooks.

Chester breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Mike Chester dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Toti Rotiz's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Chester throws the left hand but Rotiz avoids the punch easily. Toti Rotiz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Toti Rotiz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Chester jabbing away but nothing is landing. Rotiz is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Chester jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Chester fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rotiz has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Rotiz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chester as he avoids it easily. Chester scores with a leg kick.

He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Chester to score with a decent uppercut. Chester tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rotiz was well out of range. Chester looks to land a combination. Rotiz sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Chester swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rotiz.
 That has opened up Toti Rotiz's cut even more. Chester motions for Rotiz to come forward. Chester throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Rotiz changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Rotiz slips a straight right by Chester. And Rotiz tries to counter it with a takedown but Chester pushes his down on his head and steps out. Rotiz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Rotiz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Chester sprawls well initially but Rotiz persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Chester knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rotiz on the ground. Rotiz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Rotiz missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Rotiz prevents Chester from improving his position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rotiz not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Rotiz drops an elbow to the side of Chester's head. Rotiz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rotiz missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Rotiz missing with the ground and pound from half guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Rotiz working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Chester on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Chester is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rotiz scores with a couple of nice shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nice strikes from Rotiz there. Rotiz throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Rotiz throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Chester to regain full guard. Chester has momentary wrist control but Rotiz slips an elbow through the middle. Chester pulls Rotiz in to control the position. Rotiz trying to control but Chester is working from the bottom. Rotiz throws an elbow that misses. Chester uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rotiz's guard. Nice move by Chester!

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Chester sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rotiz's guard. Rotiz tries to get to full guard but Chester has control of the leg. Chester blocks the strikes from Rotiz.

And that's the end of the fight! Mike Chester showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chester, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
