And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Francois LaFleur!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Christ misses the target.
Christ cracks LaFleur with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
It looks like Jean Francois LaFleur has been cut.
Christ misses with a body kick.
LaFleur missing with a left hand there. Christ was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Christ throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Christ connects with the punch.

Christ throws out a loose jab but LaFleur uses good head movement to avoid it.

and LaFleur counters with a stiff right hand.
Christ catches LaFleur napping and connects with a big right hand that sends LaFleur to the canvas!

Christ gets to his feet. LaFleur looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Christ steps into range and cracks LaFleur with a monster punch that buckles his knees! LaFleur flops backwards and Christ dives into his guard looking to finish!

LaFleur pulls Christ in close to prevent any damage.
Christ is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

LaFleur looking to hit a scissor sweep but Christ is one step ahead there.

Christ stands up from LaFleur's guard - Christ perhaps looking for a knockout.
Christ throws a big shot that misses.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Christ fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Christ lands the left hand.

and LaFleur counters with a straight right hand.
Christ throws a head kick but LaFleur moves out of range.
LaFleur swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
The crowd cheers as LaFleur lands an impressive looking overhand right. Christ doesn't seem phased though.
It looks like Jesus Christ has been cut.
Christ misses with a looping left.
Christ swings away with a leg kick that misses.
LaFleur let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Christ throws a lazy head kick
and LaFleur counters with a crisp right hand that drops Christ! LaFleur lets Christ back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jesus Christ dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
