Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Fedorov (ranked 1103 p4p, 1829 weight class) and Norman Boma (ranked 141 p4p, 211 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Boma's choice of entrance music: Drowning Pool - Bodies. Nathan Fedorov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Norman Boma's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Nathan Fedorov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 21 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Norman Boma!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fedorov throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Fedorov throws a head kick that misses.
Boma appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Boma tries a head kick but it misses.
We've been informed that Boma has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Nathan Fedorov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Boma checks a leg kick.
It seemed like Boma was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Fedorov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Boma counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Fedorov thinking.

Fedorov throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Boma on the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boma swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Fedorov attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Fedorov throws the kick towards the body but Boma avoids it.

and Boma counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Fedorov explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Fedorov connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Fedorov throws a nice looking combination but Boma bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Boma appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Fedorov throws out a leg kick but Boma moves out of range and Fedorov only half commits.
Boma looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Boma ducks straight into an uppercut from Fedorov and tumbles to the canvas! It�s a flash knockdown though - Boma manages to regain guard straight away.

Boma is rocked!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fedorov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Boma is still in real trouble! Can Fedorov finish him?

Boma keeps trying to improve his position.
Fedorov engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Boma seems to have recovered his senses.
Fedorov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Boma looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fedorov is one step ahead there.
Fedorov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Fedorov wants to pass the guard but Boma is keeping the position.
Fedorov controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Boma is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fedorov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boma swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A telegraphed right hand from Fedorov misses the target.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Boma takes one to the side of the head.
Fedorov throws a hook to the side of Boma's head but Boma sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Boma blocks a head kick by Fedorov.
Fedorov misses with a lunging right hand
and Boma counters with a stiff right hand.
Fedorov needs to keep his hands up - Boma had a free shot at his head there.
Boma cracks a nice hook into Fedorov's ribs.
Fedorov looks to land a right hand but Boma moved out of range.
A punch lands to the side of Boma 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Fedorov throws a body kick that misses.
Fedorov misses with the combination.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

A thudding body kick lands there by Boma!
Fedorov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Fedorov cracks Boma with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Fedorov shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Boma digs a good body shot into Fedorov's ribs.
Fedorov throws a right hand that misses
and Boma connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Fedorov moves out of range of the strikes.
and Fedorov counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Boma! He's just covering up as Fedorov starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nathan Fedorov!
Nathan Fedorov bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
