Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Porthos Knox (ranked 1068 p4p, 1427 weight class) and Alexander Korolev (ranked 133 p4p, 176 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Knox might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to One Step Closer | Linkin Park. The crowd seem to be enjoying Korolev's choice of entrance music: Holding Out For A Hero (EuroMash). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 28 - 4, fighting out of Amsterdam, Porthos Knox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alexander Korolev!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knox rushes Korolev and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A short right from Korolev on the inside.
Korolev misses with a punch on the inside.
Knox lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Korolev tries to work over Knox's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Korolev tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Knox's elbow.
Knox definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Knox breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Knox misses with a right hand
and Korolev counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Korolev keeps the fight on the outside.
Knox displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Korolev throws out the jab.
Knox will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Knox cracks Korolev with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Korolev has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

As Korolev tries to get set, Knox tries to push him back and clinch up but Korolev manages to avoid the attempt.

Korolev bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

It seemed like Korolev was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Knox throws a jab but it's blocked by Korolev.
