Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pete Price (ranked 150 p4p, 540 weight class) and Klaus Manfred (ranked 24 p4p, 72 weight class). Pete Price has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Pete Price! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Klaus Manfred! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Manfred throws a body shot but no joy. Price avoids the body shot from Manfred.
Manfred does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Nice combo by Price! Oh, that's hurt him - Manfred falls to the canvas and Price follows him into side control.
 It looks like Klaus Manfred has been cut. Manfred looking for a sweep but Price has passed into full mount! Oh no! This has been an exciting period of action! Manfred is looking to improve his position but Price isn't that keen on the idea. Price landing punches. Price prevents Manfred from getting the reversal. Price sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A nice elbow there by Price. Price working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Manfred has Price pulled in close to control his posture. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Price's corner. There ya go! There ya go! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Manfred throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Price was covering up waiting for the punch and Manfred finishes the takedown easily into guard. Price seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Price is looking for a triangle but Manfred pushes his legs off easily.
Manfred stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Price swivels though and keeps the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

No, Manfred has managed to get both his arms back between Price's legs - danger averted. Price is trying to control the position but Manfred postures up. Manfred wants to control from the top but Price keeps moving. Manfred looking to pass the guard. Manfred postures up and lands a big shot to Price's brow. Manfred with a flurry of punches that miss. Manfred must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Manfred stopping the sweep attempt from Price.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Price is trying to keep Manfred in close.
Price escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Manfred gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Manfred passes Price's left leg - he's now in half guard. Price trying to control here.
Manfred thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Price's head. Price slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Price lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Manfred sprawling to the canvas. Price follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Manfred hang on?
 Manfred is rocked! Manfred is trying to control but can't.
Manfred is still in real trouble! Can Price finish him? Price tries to pass the half guard into mount. Manfred knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Price wants to control but Manfred is keeping him busy. Price is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Manfred can do to turn this around? Price swivels though and keeps the full guard. Price seems keen to control Manfred's posture. Klaus Manfred has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Manfred keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Price's head.
And that's the end of the fight! Pete Price showed his dominance in that final round. Well Price has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Pete Price was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
