Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darden Kane (ranked 2694 p4p, 2563 weight class) and Andy Ettish (ranked 283 p4p, 270 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darden Kane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Andy Ettish! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ettish moves into range and clinches up with Kane. Ettish working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Kane tries for a takedown. No joy.
Kane gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Ettish regains guard.
Ettish throws his legs up looking for a submission but Kane uses it to pass to side control.

Ettish looking for subs from the bottom but Kane mounts him! Kane takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Ettish slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Ettish looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Kane pushes past his half guard into mount! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kane looking to control and managing it successfully. Ettish is desperately trying to improve his position but Kane has a good base and remains in mount. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Darden Kane dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kane looks to clinch enabling Ettish to counter with a crisp jab. Kane takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Ettish connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kane momentarily.
Kane moves into range and clinches up with Ettish. Ettish jumps guard but Kane stands there with Ettish around his waist. Ettish gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kane turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kane manages to end up in side control. Ettish is trying to improve his position. Ettish is still trying to improve position.

Kane is trying to get an arm triangle but Ettish is defending well. Ettish tries to improve position but can't. The referee asks Kane politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kane prefers to stall for the moment though. Ettish is looking for a sweep. Kane taking a breather here. Ettish gets back to half guard.

Ettish looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Kane pushes past his half guard into mount! Kane controlling the pace for now. Kane has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Kane seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ettish for as long as he can get away with. Ettish is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kane is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ettish can do to turn this around? Kane manages to capitalize on a mistake by Ettish to take his back! Kane is hanging on to Ettish's back as he tries to escape.
Ettish is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Kane.

Darden Kane overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Ettish is breathing heavily. Ettish is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Ettish breaks Kane's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Kane is controlling Ettish's posture. Ettish is looking to advance position but Kane has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Darden Kane dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Ettish tries to clinch there but Kane circles away.
Andy Ettish has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! A shot to the liver by Ettish. Beautiful body shot. Kane shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ettish defends it nicely.
Kane shoots in and gets a takedown into Ettish's guard. Kane is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Ettish isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kane stacks Ettish on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kane! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ettish is trying to get back to half guard. Kane just content to control the position.
