PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Porridge Wog (ranked 1736 p4p, 2073 weight class) and Tom Huller (ranked 210 p4p, 240 weight class). Tom Huller told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Porridge Wog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tom Huller!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wog blocks a jab.
Huller takes a jab right on the kisser.
Wog shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Huller but Huller pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Huller scores with a jab. Wog acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Wog throws a jab but it's blocked by Huller.

Huller's jab looks to have found its range, popping Wog under the eye.
Wog needs to keep his hands up - Huller had a free shot at his head there.
Wog changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Huller tries to avoid it but Wog manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Huller to the ground. Huller escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Huller wants to counter with a clinch but Wog pushes him away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wog is working for a guillotine from mount but Huller frees his head quite easily.

Wog seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Huller does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Wog is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Huller defends it well.

Wog throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wog looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Huller looks to score with a jab to the body but Wog is just out of range.

Huller throws a body punch but Wog moves out of range.
Huller lands a glancing blow to the side of Wog's head.
Huller tests Wog's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Wog swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Huller wants to counter the offense by Wog and move into the clinch position.
Wog looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Huller swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Wog throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Huller's waist but Huller gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wog off to one side.

Huller scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wog is looking to reverse the position.
Huller lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Wog down.
Huller scores with a couple of short elbows.

Huller is putting a hurting on Wog here, landing some big shots from side control.
Wog is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Huller off and has taken his back!
Huller staying busy and making it hard for Wog to control.
Huller trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Wog has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Huller is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Wog.
You can see the frustration on Huller's face� He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Wog has good solid back control here.

Huller is trying to defend against the choke here but Wog has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Wog Tightens the hold and Huller taps out furiously! Wog displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Porridge Wog!
