Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elwyn Donal (ranked 159 p4p, 208 weight class) and Johnny Hogg (ranked 23 p4p, 30 weight class). Hogg comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Styx - Renegade kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Elwyn Donal could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Johnny Hogg's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Elwyn Donal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johnny Hogg!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Hogg gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Donal finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hogg fails with the takedown
and Donal counters with a crisp right hand that drops Hogg! Donal lets Hogg back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
It looks like Johnny Hogg has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hogg throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Donal's waist but Donal gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hogg off to one side.
Elwyn Donal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Hogg.
Donal swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Hogg gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Donal counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hogg shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Donal sprawls well. Donal wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hogg gets slowly back to his feet.
Donal appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Donal is looking to clinch.
Donal tries to close the distance and clinch but Hogg swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
And Hogg tries to counter it with a takedown but Donal pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Donal fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hogg manages to avoid it.
Hogg gets tackled into the cage by Donal. Donal maintains the clinch.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Hogg wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Donal cracks Hogg with a nice body shot.

Hogg manages to break the clinch.
Donal fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hogg changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Donal rushes Hogg and presses him up against the cage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Donal lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Donal lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Hogg has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Donal clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Well, with Hogg on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Donal is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Hogg throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Donal misses with a right hand
and Hogg counters with a single leg into guard. Donal didn't expect that.
Hogg distracts Donal with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Hogg wants to control from the top but Donal keeps moving.
Hogg in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hogg slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hogg throws a strike but Donal rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Hogg working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Donal doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Donal manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Donal has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Hogg controls Donal momentarily but Donal frees himself.
Hogg looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Donal passes into half guard.
Hogg is looking to control Donal's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hogg avoid being mounted?

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Donal passes into side control, despite Hogg's attempt to control the position.
Hogg is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Donal is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Hogg tries to hold on but Donal postures up.
Hogg is trying desperately to improve position.
Hogg tries to lock up and control but Donal gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Hogg is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Elwyn Donal overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hogg sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Hogg is looking for a sweep. Donal is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Donal is thwarting Hogg's attempts to control the position.
Donal is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hogg can do to turn this around?

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hogg is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
It looks like Donal is going to stand back up.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hogg is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Donal pulls his head out easily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Elwyn Donal will probably get the nod.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!

and Donal counters with a huge left! Hogg is in big trouble! He's backing up but Donal isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Hogg from any more damage. A dominating finish by Donal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Elwyn Donal!
After the fight, Elwyn Donal was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Johnny Hogg was interviewed post fight and said 'What can I say, I have work to do.'.
