Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Tucker (ranked 1268 p4p, 2128 weight class) and Lew Alcindor (ranked 158 p4p, 233 weight class). Lew Alcindor has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeffrey Tucker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lew Alcindor!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tucker looks to land a combination. Alcindor sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Tucker lands a nice looking body shot.
Alcindor stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tucker.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Alcindor is defended easily by Tucker.

Tucker closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Alcindor's guard.

Tucker trying to control the position from guard on top but Alcindor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Alcindor not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Tucker stuns Alcindor with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Tucker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Alcindor to the mat! Alcindor manages to get full guard.

Alcindor has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Tucker slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Alcindor is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Tucker off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Tucker is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Alcindor knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Alcindor for a finish.

Alcindor looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tucker is fending him off so far but Alcindor persists. Nope, Tucker circles away and we're back to standing.
Lew Alcindor is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Tucker closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Tucker seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Alcindor does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Alcindor wants to control but Tucker is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tucker's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alcindor is staying active underneath Tucker, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Alcindor is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tucker defends well.

Tucker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Alcindor keeps working.
Alcindor is looking for a sweep.
Tucker slows the pace down.
Alcindor is looking to reverse the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Alcindor regains half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jeffrey Tucker dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Alcindor takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Tucker is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Alcindor can do to turn this around?

Alcindor shoots in for a takedown but Tucker shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

It looked like Tucker wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Tucker working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Alcindor is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Tucker has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Alcindor taps out!
