Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lian Belmiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kurko Kallio!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belmiro closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kallio circles away.
A little jabbing left from Kallio on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Kallio scores with a nice right hand.
Belmiro fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Belmiro throws a good cross that connects.
Kallio walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Belmiro shoots in for a takedown but Kallio shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lian Belmiro. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Belmiro connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kallio takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kallio rushes Belmiro and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Belmiro wants to break free but Kallio has control.
Belmiro blocking some punches.

Kallio misses with a hook to the ribs.
Belmiro tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Belmiro takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Belmiro tries to score a body lock takedown but Kallio shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Kallio lands with a right to the head.
Belmiro's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Belmiro looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A big left from Kallio misses.
Kallio misses with a right hand
and Belmiro counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Belmiro passes Kallio's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Belmiro throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Belmiro is just content to waste time from the top position. Kallio takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Belmiro's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Belmiro accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Belmiro lands a couple of digs.
Belmiro stays in close to Kallio's body and controls the position.
Belmiro wants to control from the top but Kallio keeps moving.
Belmiro sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kallio's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kallio wants to get back to full guard.
Belmiro sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kallio defending well though.
Belmiro lands strikes from half guard.
Belmiro passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kallio!

Kallio is wriggling around trying to escape.
Belmiro goes for an armbar but he's not got it� Kallio turns into him and now he's in Belmiro's guard.
Belmiro wants to sweep here but Kallio controlling him for the moment.
Kallio trying to control the position from guard on top but Belmiro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Belmiro is trying to keep Kallio in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kallio has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Belmiro to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kallio is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Belmiro pulls down on the head and he's put Kallio to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Lian Belmiro!
