Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Draconis (ranked 1178 p4p, 1034 weight class) and Jeff Christ (ranked 134 p4p, 113 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Draconis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeff Christ! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Draconis shoots in but no luck this time.
Christ shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Draconis wants to get back to full guard. Draconis taking some punishment here, with Christ in his half guard. Draconis wants to get back to full guard but Christ has passed into side control. Draconis has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Draconis struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Christ trying to control the action but Draconis is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Christ is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Draconis tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Christ wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Christ misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Christ grinds an elbow into Draconis's temple. Draconis can't do much from the bottom here. Draconis is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Christ off and has taken his back! Christ just trying to survive but Draconis is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Draconis is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Draconis gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Draconis gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Draconis apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Christ. No joy for Draconis on that attempt. Christ has a takedown stuffed. Christ throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Draconis takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Christ gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Christ looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Draconis puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Christ trying to control from the bottom.
Draconis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Christ's head. Christ is trying to get back to full guard. Christ wants to control but Draconis is keeping busy and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Christ moves into full guard.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Draconis trying to control but Christ is working from the bottom. Draconis throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Christ keeping moving, preventing Draconis from controlling successfully. Christ is trying to keep Draconis in close.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. A jab from Christ does it's job there. Draconis fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tommy Draconis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Christ shoots in and drives through. Draconis sprawls well. Draconis takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Draconis shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Christ manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Draconis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Christ wants to sweep here but Draconis controlling him for the moment. Draconis trying to control but Christ is working from the bottom. Draconis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

A close round but Jeff Christ will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Draconis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Christ as he jumps to the side. Draconis shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Christ defends it nicely. No luck with that takedown attempt from Draconis. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tommy Draconis. That's going to take a lot out of him. A big right from Draconis misses. Horrible takedown attempt by Draconis or perhaps it was just good defense by Christ, which made it look bad. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Christ lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Christ shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Draconis's guard. Draconis wants to sweep but no luck. Christ trying to control the position from guard on top but Draconis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Christ scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Christ postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Christ lands a couple of elbows.
Christ thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Christ content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Christ pushes down on Draconis's leg and manages to get into half guard. Christ is keen to just control but Draconis is a slippery customer. Draconis is trying to get back to full guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Christ looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Draconis on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Christ wants to free his trapped foot but Draconis is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Christ is looking for submissions but instead, Draconis has regained full guard.
Christ is in close to Draconis's body, working some short punches and elbows. Christ wants to control from the top but Draconis keeps moving. Christ won't allow Draconis to sweep him here. Christ chips away with some ground and pound.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Christ seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Christ stopping the sweep attempt from Draconis. Christ postures up and lands a big shot to Draconis's brow. Draconis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Christ steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Draconis. Draconis throws a body shot but no joy. A slow jab from Christ misses its intended target. Christ doesn't manage to clinch there - Draconis circles away.

Draconis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Christ's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Christ's back! The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Draconis's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
The referee is taking a good look at Christ as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Draconis!
Draconis trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Christ doesn't escape. Christ tries to escape but Draconis has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Draconis is landing with strikes from the back.

Draconis is looking for the choke from the back position but Christ is controlling his hands well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Christ rolls, trying to escape but Draconis keeps control of the position.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jeff Christ's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

A very excited looking Tommy Draconis made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
