Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tommaso Montanti (ranked 735 p4p, 1525 weight class) and Furdas Turngemaxt (ranked 92 p4p, 184 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Tommaso Montanti has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tommaso Montanti seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Furdas Turngemaxt!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Illya Tyunina and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turngemaxt wants to clinch up but Montanti keeps it at a distance.
Turngemaxt throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Montanti counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Turngemaxt has Montanti up against the cage in a clinch.
Turngemaxt misses with a hook from the clinch.
Turngemaxt misses with an elbow over the top.
Montanti breaks from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Turngemaxt closes the distance and clinches.
Turngemaxt's coach down at Gym To Nica was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Turngemaxt's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Montanti takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Tommaso Montanti has been cut.

Turngemaxt lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Turngemaxt lands a nice shot to the body.
Turngemaxt pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Turngemaxt throws a punch but it's blocked by Montanti.
Montanti pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Turngemaxt tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Montanti has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Turngemaxt finds it's way round the side to connect with Montanti's head.

and Montanti counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Montanti throws a leg kick
and Turngemaxt decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Montanti's guard.
Montanti pushes Turngemaxt off and scrambles back to his feet.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Turngemaxt moves into range and connects with a jab.
Turngemaxt throws a hook but Montanti blocks it.
An attempted straight right counter from Montanti misses the target.
Turngemaxt stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Turngemaxt throws a poor cross that misses
and Montanti cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Montanti fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Turngemaxt misses with a hook
and Turngemaxt takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Turngemaxt wants to clinch.
Montanti looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Turngemaxt scores with a nice strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Montanti misses with a straight left.
Turngemaxt closes the distance looking to clinch
and Montanti counters with a stiff right hand.
Turngemaxt tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Montanti manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Montanti fires out a quick counter leg kick but Turngemaxt just manages to avoid it.
Turngemaxt misses with a hook
and Montanti connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Turngemaxt throws the left hand but Montanti avoids the punch easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Furdas Turngemaxt will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Tommaso Montanti's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Turngemaxt ducks right into an uppercut from Montanti.
Turngemaxt is rocked!
Turngemaxt swings widly with a right hand
and Montanti counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Turngemaxt off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Montanti follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Turngemaxt was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Tommaso Montanti!
