Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ralph Cifaretto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Toti Rotiz!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rotiz avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Cifaretto throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rotiz sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Cifaretto looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Rotiz keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rotiz looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Cifaretto throws a hook but Rotiz blocks it.
Rotiz tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Rotiz shoots in for a takedown but Cifaretto shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rotiz uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cifaretto has time to react.

Rotiz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cifaretto with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Rotiz working his ground and pound in the gym.
Cifaretto is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rotiz pulls his head out easily.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rotiz connects with a nice short shot to Cifaretto's temple.

Rotiz stands up over Cifaretto, holding on to his feet. Rotiz throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Cifaretto is out cold! Rotiz lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Toti Rotiz!
After the fight, Toti Rotiz was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
