Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roman Czerw (ranked 1014 p4p, 1271 weight class) and Frenkie Chen (ranked 124 p4p, 149 weight class). Frenkie Chen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, William Gold and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chen's coach down at Monkey Magic was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Chen's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Chen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Czerw has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Chen drops Czerw with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Czerw looks back up at him and smiles so Chen waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
