Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Happy Hands (ranked 132 p4p, 582 weight class) and Omar Dahir (ranked 17 p4p, 60 weight class). Hands comes to the cage accompanied by Pharoahe Monch- Simon Says. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Happy Hands! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Omar Dahir! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A low kick from Hands is predictable there
and Dahir decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hands's guard. Dahir trying to control the position from guard on top but Hands is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dahir trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hands definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hands controlling Dahir's posture. Dahir with a flurry of punches that miss. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dahir throws a big right hand that misses. Dahir throwing strikes but missing. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Dahir pushing down on Hands's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Dahir stalling away here and it's allowed Hands to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Hands lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Dahir has his hands on Hands's head, controlling the position. Hands has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dahir is proving hard to escape from.

Dahir has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dahir is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Hands sitting in guard, not really doing much.  The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Hands looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. And Dahir tries to counter it with a takedown but Hands pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Hands loads up on a big right hand but Dahir slips the punch. Hands throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Nice shot by Hands. Hands throws a low kick but it's checked well by Dahir. Dahir has a takedown stuffed.

Dahir lands with a good body shot. Hands throws a leg kick which misses Dahir's front leg but catches the back leg as Dahir tries to avoid it. Dahir scores with a jab to the body. Dahir doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hands counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Dahir showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hands.
Dahir drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Hands defends it well.
 That's five minutes gone in the round. Dahir slips under a jab from Hands. Dahir appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Happy Hands is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hands lands a big head kick that sends Dahir tumbling to the mat! Hands takes a step backwards and waves Dahir back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dahir distracts Hands with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Dahir seems to have recovered his senses. Hands preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Dahir throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Dahir throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hands works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
 That's six minutes gone in the round. Hands managing to control the position. Dahir tries to free his leg and advance position but Hands is retaining full guard. Dahir passes Hands's left leg - he's now in half guard. Hands blocking the ground and pound attempt from Dahir. Dahir scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Dahir missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dahir throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Hands keeps control of the position for the meantime. Hands's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Hands holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Dahir scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Hands manages to get to full guard.

 The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dahir wants to sweep here but Hands controlling him for the moment. Dahir wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Hands wants to stand but Dahir is controlling his posture from full guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Dahir fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hands avoids it really well and circles away. Dahir throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hands's waist but Hands gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dahir off to one side. Happy Hands has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Omar Dahir.

and Dahir counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hands! Dahir working the ground and pound but Hands is defending the strikes. Hands is pushing Dahir's head away, looking to escape. Dahir manages to hold on to the position though. Hands wants to control but Dahir postures up. Dahir tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Hands is not content to let Dahir control the position. The strikes coming from Dahir are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

 It looks like Happy Hands has been cut. Hands seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Dahir shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hands's guard. Hands looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Hands is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Dahir has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Omar Dahir. I think Dahir has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A relieved looking Omar Dahir thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. The defeated Happy Hands had this to say: '...(Nothing... he just stares intensely into the cameraman... then throws down the mic.)'.
