Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 46 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kenny Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 22 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Ethan Hawk!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A left lands for Hawk.
Hawk misses with a wild body shot.
Smith throws a body kick that misses.
Hawk swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Smith counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Ethan Hawk has been cut.
Smith takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Hawk throws a predictable looking body shot
and Smith counters with a crisp right hand that drops Hawk! Smith lets Hawk back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hawk thuds a left hand into Smith's body.
Hawk thows a left - swing and a miss!
Smith lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Smith cracks Hawk with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hawk looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away� can Smith finish him?
Hawk is rocked!
Hawk will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hawk is still on wobbly legs! Can Smith finish him?
Hawk swings away with a body shot that misses
and Smith scores with a counter punch that sends Hawk to the canvas! Smith smells blood - he's punishing Hawk with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Hawk has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kenny Smith!
Our winner, Kenny Smith, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
Ethan Hawk spoke after the fight, saying 'In the end he fought like a 'Gentleman', true to his nickname, respecting his mate's money maker.'.
