Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hulk Smash (ranked 574 p4p, 801 weight class) and Jimar Kinkead (ranked 70 p4p, 97 weight class). Kinkead has chosen No Sunshine as his entrance music. Hulk Smash is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Hulk Smash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jimar Kinkead!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smash looks to land a combination but Kinkead avoids it well.
Kinkead takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kinkead's coach down at Banzai Combat Academy LA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kinkead's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Kinkead slips a jab from Smash.
Kinkead takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Smash throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kinkead is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Smash throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice sprawl there from Kinkead as Smash shoots in.
Smash throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kinkead was covering up waiting for the punch and Smash finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Kinkead is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Smash defends well.

Kinkead throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Smash escapes and throws Kinkead's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Kinkead tries to buck Smash off but Smash is having none of it.
Kinkead wants to get back to his feet but Smash drags him back down.
Smash creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Kinkead tries to bench press Smash off him but Smash keeps the position.

Smash gets the takedown into side control.
Kinkead takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Smash wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kinkead keeps working.
Smash in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Smash is chipping away with strikes.
Smash tries to advance to mount but can't.
Kinkead manages to work his way to half guard, despite Smash's best efforts.
Kinkead is trying to get back to full guard.
Smash slows the pace down in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kinkead is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Kinkead is looking for a sweep. Smash is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kinkead is trying to control but can't.
Smash prevents Kinkead from improving his position.
Smash is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Kinkead looks like he's trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kinkead is pressing down on Smash's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Smash controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kinkead ducks right into an uppercut from Smash.
Smash throws a body punch but Kinkead moves out of range.
Kinkead lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Kinkead ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Smash is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kinkead can do to turn this around?

Smash throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kinkead's waist but Kinkead gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smash off to one side.
Kinkead wants to counter with a clinch but Smash pushes him away.

and Kinkead counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kinkead.
Kinkead throws a punch but it's blocked by Smash.
Smash breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Smash lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Smash shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kinkead throws a counter combo.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hulk Smash. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smash throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kinkead's waist but Kinkead gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smash off to one side.
Kinkead looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Smash shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Smash was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Kinkead is not content to let Smash control the position.
Kinkead is looking to regain half guard here but Smash keeps moving and retains side control.
Kinkead is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Smash off and has taken his back!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kinkead doesn't have the hooks in and Smash manages to turn into his guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kinkead is on top in guard.
Hulk Smash overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Smash is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kinkead is aware though and is defending well.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hulk Smash will probably get the nod.

Kinkead stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kinkead wants it to stay on the feet.

Kinkead looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Smash manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kinkead on his heels. He'll look to pass Kinkead's guard now, I'm sure.

Smash is posturing up here but Kinkead has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Smash tries to roll out but it's too tight and Smash has to tap! Slick submission there by Kinkead!
