Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Masa Saitoh (ranked 206 p4p, 210 weight class) and Hiroshima Nagasaki (ranked 30 p4p, 31 weight class). Nagasaki has chosen Ground Zero (MOP) as his entrance music. Hiroshima Nagasaki has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Masa Saitoh's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 28 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Masa Saitoh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 29 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hiroshima Nagasaki! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saitoh fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Saitoh lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Saitoh walks forward, straight into a front kick from Nagasaki. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nagasaki takes one on the button.
 It looks like Hiroshima Nagasaki has been cut. The crowd cheers as Saitoh lands an impressive looking overhand right. Nagasaki doesn't seem phased though.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Nagasaki ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Nagasaki only half commits to the counter leg kick. Saitoh connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. A shot to the liver by Saitoh. Beautiful body shot. Hiroshima Nagasaki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Saitoh has his takedown stuffed and Nagasaki counters with a stiff right hand.
 It looks like Masa Saitoh has been cut. Saitoh throws the left hand but Nagasaki avoids the punch easily. Nagasaki is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Saitoh with a body shot. Masa Saitoh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saitoh drops Nagasaki with a left right combo! Saitoh follows him down to the ground into side control.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nagasaki defending against the ground and pound. Nagasaki managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Saitoh.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Saitoh misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Saitoh is staying tight to Nagasaki's torso, preventing him from escaping. Saitoh tries to advance to mount but can't. Saitoh in side control, just content to control the action for now. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nagasaki can do anything to dispel that myth. Nagasaki is looking to reverse the position. Saitoh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nagasaki keeps working.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Saitoh controlling from side mount. Saitoh lands a nice forearm strike. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Saitoh moves into full mount! Saitoh throws some wild stikes that Nagasaki manages to avoid easily.
Saitoh wants to control the pace but Nagasaki is squirming around nicely. Saitoh throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Nagasaki because Saitoh loaded up on that one. Saitoh content just to control the position here. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Saitoh is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nagasaki. Nagasaki uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Saitoh. Nagasaki misses with a right hand
and Saitoh counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Saitoh.  That's one minute gone in the round. Saitoh is controlling Nagasaki's posture. Saitoh keeping full guard, as Nagasaki tries to pass. Nagasaki must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Saitoh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Saitoh might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Nagasaki slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Saitoh pulls Nagasaki in close to prevent any damage.

Saitoh wants to control from the top but Nagasaki keeps moving. Saitoh trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Nagasaki manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Saitoh wants to pass the guard but Nagasaki is keeping the position. Saitoh slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Saitoh trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Saitoh with a flurry of punches that miss. Saitoh missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Nagasaki keeping moving, preventing Saitoh from controlling successfully. Nagasaki has momentary wrist control but Saitoh slips an elbow through the middle. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nagasaki keeping moving, preventing Saitoh from controlling successfully. Saitoh moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Masa Saitoh is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nagasaki takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Saitoh lands a really nice looking cross but Nagasaki seems unphased.
Masa Saitoh is winning the standup battle so far. Saitoh sizes up Nagasaki with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Saitoh smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Saitoh thuds a left hand into Nagasaki's body. Saitoh looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Saitoh fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Nagasaki to the ground. Saitoh is now in Nagasaki's guard. Nagasaki is looking to stand back up but Saitoh counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Nagasaki.

Still in half guard, Saitoh seems content to control. Nagasaki is trying to stand up here but Saitoh is controlling him well. Saitoh slows the pace down in half guard. Hiroshima Nagasaki has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Saitoh uses his free foot to push down on Nagasaki's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Nagasaki. Saitoh controlling from mount.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Saitoh seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Nagasaki for as long as he can get away with.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Nagasaki is trying desperately to improve position. Saitoh looking to control and managing it successfully. Saitoh's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Masa Saitoh showed his dominance in that final round. Well Saitoh has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
