Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luis Palhares (ranked 384 p4p, 371 weight class) and Motshan Bogachev (ranked 44 p4p, 43 weight class). Palhares kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Right On/ Showcore. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luis Palhares! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Motshan Bogachev! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bogachev with a body punch. A glancing blow. Palhares tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bogachev was well out of range. Poor timing from Palhares. Bogachev blocks a jab. Luis Palhares seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Palhares swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bogachev. Palhares uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bogachev. Bogachev misses with a lunging right hand
and Palhares counters with a nice uppercut. Palhares throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Palhares takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Bogachev keeps the fight on the outside. Palhares tests Bogachev's chin there with a solid looking shot. We've been informed that Bogachev has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Bogachev feints and then cracks Palhares's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Palhares down. Palhares throws a leg kick but Bogachev moved away. Bogachev looks like he wants to counter punch here. Palhares is looking to slow Bogachev down with leg kicks. Palhares looks to score with a jab to the body but Bogachev is just out of range. Bogachev tried to score with a low kick but Palhares checks it. Palhares tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Palhares throws a body kick that misses. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bogachev! But no joy. Motshan Bogachev is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Palhares lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bogachev at a distance.
Palhares lands with a good body shot. Palhares looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Palhares misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bogachev.
Bogachev looks to score with a jab to the body but Palhares is just out of range. Palhares tries to move into range but Bogachev moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Bogachev takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Nice defenses there by Palhares. Bogachev blocks a leg kick. Palhares throws a leg kick that misses. Bogachev misses with an uppercut. Palhares throws a leg kick that is checked and Bogachev counters with a left to the body. Bogachev just misses with a punch to the body.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Palhares. Palhares throws a nice head kick!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Palhares attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Palhares with a hook. Palhares throws a body kick that misses. Bogachev appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Palhares darts in and clinches Bogachev up against the cage.
Bogachev breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bogachev dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Palhares with a jab. Bogachev uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Palhares shoots in looking for a takedown. Bogachev tries to sprawl out of it but Palhares keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bogachev manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bogachev! But no joy. Palhares lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Palhares moves out of range as Bogachev strikes.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Palhares. The ground and pound from Palhares seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Palhares in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Palhares tries to score with some ground and pound. Bogachev controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. An elbow from Palhares crashes against the mat.
Bogachev is not content to let Palhares control the position.
Palhares wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bogachev, who protects the arm well. Bogachev is not content to let Palhares control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Bogachev dodges the ground and pound from Palhares. Bogachev is looking to reverse the position.
Palhares tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Bogachev gets back to half guard. Palhares wants to control but Bogachev is keeping him busy. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Luis Palhares dominated that round. That's time! Palhares's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Jab, jab by Bogachev - just one landing. Palhares pivots, looking for a leg kick but Bogachev is out of range and Palhares settles back down. Palhares throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bogachev's waist but Bogachev gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Palhares off to one side. Bogachev now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Bogachev blocks a jab. Bogachev scores with a body shot.
Palhares throws a leg kick that misses. Bogachev throws a hook but Palhares blocks it. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Palhares scores with a leg kick.
Palhares slips under a jab. Bogachev keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
A little jabbing left from Bogachev on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Palhares misses with a takedown and Bogachev counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Palhares thinking.
Palhares darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bogachev is trying to get back to full guard. Palhares is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bogachev can do to turn this around?
 That's one minute gone in the round. Palhares content to control rather than advance. Palhares thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Palhares throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Palhares is stalling here. Bogachev is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Palhares seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Bogachev has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Palhares is trying to escape the position but Bogachev is controlling the position. Palhares is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Palhares regains half guard. Palhares is staying active underneath Bogachev, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Palhares regains full guard. Nicely done.
Palhares is looking for a triangle but Bogachev pushes his legs off easily.
Bogachev has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Palhares to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Bogachev is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Palhares pulls down on the head and he's put Bogachev to sleep! This one is all over!
