Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leandro Leao (ranked 188 p4p, 374 weight class) and Mombasa Magabi (ranked 13 p4p, 29 weight class). Mombasa Magabi told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leandro Leao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mombasa Magabi !
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magabi cracks Leao with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
It looks like Leandro Leao has been cut.
Magabi gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Leao counters with a slapping leg kick.

and Leao counters with a straight right hand.

Leao gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Magabi takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

and Leao connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That has opened up Mombasa Magabi 's cut even more.

Magabi tests Leao's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Magabi throws the left hand but Leao avoids the punch easily.
Magabi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Magabi misses with an uppercut. Leao saw that one coming.
Leao throws a hook but Magabi avoids it easily.
Magabi will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

and Leao counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Leao drops his hands momentarily and Magabi takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
A solid leg kick lands there for Leao.
It looks like Leao has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Magabi lands a jab to Leao's midsection.

Leao uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Magabi .
Magabi turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Mombasa Magabi 's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mombasa Magabi 's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Leandro Leao!
After the fight, Leandro Leao was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
