Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Henry Hall (ranked 769 p4p, 259 weight class) and Kevin Jones (ranked 92 p4p, 33 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 24 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Henry Hall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Jones! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hall. Hall obviously looking to wear him down.
Henry Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hall throws a low kick but it's checked well by Jones. Hall tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Jones is able to avoid easily.
Jones scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Hall keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Jones thows a huge punch but Hall dodges it nicely.

My spies in Ludus Gladiatorius inform me that Jones has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Jones dives in for a single leg takedown but Hall sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. The crowd cheers as Hall lands an impressive looking overhand right. Jones doesn't seem phased though. Hall displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones. Hall punishes Jones's body with a nice straight punch. Hall with a nice calf kick.

Hall misses with a hook from the clinch. Hall tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Hall stops a takedown attempt from Jones.
Jones taking a breather. Hall lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Jones lands an uppercut. Jones jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hall walks away with a smile on his face. Jones gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Hall cracks Jones with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Hall fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hall stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet. Jones takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Hall ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away. Jones tries for a takedown but Hall circles away easily and Hall counters with a lovely straight right hand!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hall looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range. Jones feints the counter takedown. Henry Hall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jones chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hall can pounce on him.
Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hall's waist but Hall gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side. Hall tests Jones's chin there with a solid looking shot. Jones takes a jab right on the kisser.
Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Jones tries to counter with a clinch but Hall shakes him off and moves away. Hall sizes up Jones with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Hall won't allow Jones to sweep him here. Jones is pulling down on Hall's head. It's preventing any offense from Hall, at least for the moment. Hall is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Jones pulls Hall in close to his closed guard and prevents Hall from doing any damage or advancing position. Hall wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. Hall stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hall defends well. Hall showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hall has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Hall throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Hall fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hall as he avoids it easily. Hall looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hall circles away.
