Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rayan Brandt (ranked 1409 p4p, 1933 weight class) and Taurino Quiroga (ranked 177 p4p, 225 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rayan Brandt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Taurino Quiroga!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandt swings widly with a right hand
and Quiroga counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Quiroga tries to clinch but Brandt moves away

and Brandt counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Quiroga!
Brandt works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Brandt is chipping away with strikes.
Brandt scores with punches from side control.
Brandt throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Quiroga is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Quiroga takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Quiroga is looking for a sweep.

Brandt lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Brandt is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Quiroga defends it well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Quiroga bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brandt's guard.

Brandt seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Quiroga throws an elbow that misses. Brandt uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Quiroga's guard. Nice move by Brandt!

Quiroga is looking to stand back up but Brandt counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Quiroga.
Quiroga has hold of Brandt's hands but Brandt slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Brandt in particular looking to stall.
Brandt is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Quiroga!

It looks like Rayan Brandt has been cut.

Quiroga postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Brandt is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Quiroga, into his guard.

Brandt seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Quiroga does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Brandt thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Quiroga's head.

Brandt looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Quiroga covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

After the fight, Rayan Brandt was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
