Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karol Dziuda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Talan Wu!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dziuda moves into the clinch.
Wu escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dziuda misses with a body punch
and Wu counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Good standup being displayed there by Wu as he connects with a hook.
Dziuda walks into a straight right hand from Wu.
Wu bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
We've been hearing reports that Dziuda has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Wu missing with a left hand there. Dziuda was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Wu throws a hook to the side of Dziuda's head but Dziuda sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Dziuda digs a good body shot into Wu's ribs.
Wu throws out a loose jab but Dziuda uses good head movement to avoid it.
Dziuda staying out of range there.
Dziuda throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wu throws out a counter right but Dziuda avoids it with no problem.
Dziuda misses with a looping left.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dziuda connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Dziuda walks into a stiff left hand from Wu.
Dziuda takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Wu loads up on a big right hand but Dziuda slips the punch.
Dziuda sizes up Wu with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Wu has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Dziuda gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Dziuda tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Wu is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Dziuda buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Dziuda!! Dziuda is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Wu throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Talan Wu!
Talan Wu was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
